Web Threat and Data Leakage

To understand the concern areas with respect to Web Threat & Data Leakage and how they are affecting the critical business processes in an enterprise organization.
The threat to business and personal information assets is changing. And with that change comes a growing risk to businesses of every size.

One of the most devastating IT bothers strikes when confidential data leaks out of the company's network and trickles into the hands of malicious users. Experts say that the usual and most overlooked sources of data leakage could end up being one of the essential threats to be considered.

Internet users can expect more cyber attacks to originate from the Web than via e-mail. E-mail has traditionally been the top means of attack, with messages laden with Trojan horses and other malicious programs hitting inboxes.

TWe recognize the fact that web threat is increasing and admit that data leakage is happening and that law on data privacy and data protection has necessitated enterprises to take technical measures to reduce, or take measures to monitor with evidence on such threats. Is it being recognized as a need or a must? What framework of information security will help them to meet this?

This meet on Web Threat and Data Leakage is deliberated by Economic Times Intelligence Group (ETIG) Forum and ISACA Mumbai Chapter in association with Trend Micro for the benefit of CIO’s, CTO’s, CEO’s, CFO’s and CCO’s. The forum would address these concerns to trigger some thought process in the lines of:

How do we value our information? It is a great challenge to the corporate CTO/CIO’s world over. Investigating about the availability of information and recognizing the value realization of information is becoming very important to all. The question is to check ‘if this is ethical’, ‘does it violate any IPR’, ‘does it protect IRM’, etc.

An expert panel would provide input on their challenges they face and how they address such threat. The aim is to make an attempt to provide input for better corporate and IT security governance.
